Juan Rogers, professor and director of graduate studies in the School of Public Policy, co-authored the article “Key factors affecting the promotion of researchers of the Argentine Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET).” The article, co-authored with María Guillermina D'Onofrio of Argentina’s Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, was published in Research Evaluation.

In it, the authors analyze the promotions of 599 CONICET researchers to determine the most and least influential factors. They find that promotions are more heavily impacted by such things as mentoring other researchers and technological production and less so by factors including time since graduation and gender.
