The Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts is home to six Schools and Georgia Tech’s Reserve Officer Training Corps.
The Schools are the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy, the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, the School of Economics, the School of History and Sociology, the School of Literature, Media, and Communication, and the School of Modern Languages.
Each School offers undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as minors and certificates across the humanities and social sciences. The Schools are highly interconnected, and many programs and research areas in the Ivan Allen College span multiple Schools. This gives students and faculty opportunities to study, teach, and conduct research across disciplines and approach topics from different perspectives.
Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy
Georgia Tech's Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy educates leaders who address societal challenges through the policy process. Sam Nunn School of International Affairs
Georgia Tech's Sam Nunn School of International Affairs provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary, multi-method, and flexible undergraduate and graduate social science programming at the nexus of science and technology. Faculty and students give special attention to strategic, political economy, and comparative political perspectives on international security, global development, and governance.
School of Economics
Georgia Tech's School of Economics equips students with the analytical framework and data analysis tools essential to good decision-making in any organizational context. Faculty and students integrate economic theory and advanced empirical methods to produce scholarship and policy insights that meaningfully advance global well-being.
School of History and Sociology

Reserve Officer Training Corps
The Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) includes Air Force ROTC, Army ROTC, and Navy ROTC. The programs prepare students for leadership in the military and their future careers. Together, they have commissioned generations of distinguished military leaders across the Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Space Force.
