Natalie Thompson received her Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Virginia in 2024. Her work examines eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British fiction through the lenses of feminist narratology, intertextuality, and spatial practice. Natalie has designed both writing-intensive courses and literature courses around a variety of themes: eighteenth-century fiction, narrative theory and the novel, the science of memory, and contemporary stand-up comedy, to name a few. Natalie has more than eleven years of experience as a writing consultant and loves to help others get "unstuck" in their writing process. As a consultant and teacher, she specializes in scientific and academic writing; fellowship and grant writing; academic presentations; multimodal projects; and approaching academic genres with warmth, humanity, and humor.
