Overview
Personal Pronouns:
she/herMandy Elizabeth Moore (she/her) is a scholar of media, rhetoric, and posthumanism. In particular, she's interested in exploring how nonhuman and not-quite-human entities impact communication and meaning-making in the media landscape, with particular interests in television, fandoms, children's media, digital spaces, and queer identity. She obtained her Ph.D. in English from the University of Florida in 2024, where her dissertation developed posthumanist methods for studying the rhetoric of fan communities. In addition to her teaching and research, she also enjoys knitting, watching entirely too much television, and hanging out with her cat.
