Jannell McConnell Parsons

Overview
Jannell McConnell Parsons is a Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow in the Writing and Communication Program at Georgia Tech. Her disciplinary research centers around narratives of power in popular and social media, and her pedagogical research currently focuses on course-based undergraduate research experiences in first-year humanities classrooms. She has most recently published SoTL research in Composition Studies and Scholarship and Practice of Undergraduate Research. She earned her PhD in English from the University of Kentucky and also holds an MA in English and Creative Writing from Mississippi State University and an MFA in poetry from Boston University.
