Drożdż and Oswiecimka studied 113 novels in English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, and Spanish, and found that the length of sentences almost always forms fractal patterns. Even James Joyce’s Finnegan Wake, one of the most intriguing literary ‘compositions’ ever, presents a symmetric architecture look from the perspective of formal quantitative approach
