Join the Georgia Tech Library for A Literacy Showcase: Amplifying Voices Through Written and Spoken Expressions Thursday, Oct. 10 from 3 to 7:30 p.m. in the Scholars Event Theater, located on the first floor of Price Gilbert.
Integrating creative expressions enriches learning and engagement in higher education. It fosters student’s abilities to engage in ways to express themselves, improves literacy, develops critical thinking skills, and can have a positive effect on their mental health.
This showcase seeks to inspire artistic endeavors that positively impact academic and intellectual development (emerging authors, young poets, students, educators, etc.). Drop in as you can and stay as long as you would like to enjoy some scheduled activities throughout the day.

3-3:45 p.m.: Get Journaling for Personal Growth and Creativity Workshop
Explore the power of journaling for self-reflection, stress relief, and creative expression. Learn quick journaling exercises to spark creativity and mindfulness; discover how regular reflection can enhance academic and professional growth; and explore ways to use journaling for problem-solving and decision-making. Whether you're new to journaling or looking to revitalize your practice, this workshop will help you explore the world of writing your thoughts and gaining insight into yourself. Bring a notebook and pen — let's get journaling!

True individual college stories that help young students to navigate through college and the pitfalls of life.
5-5:45 p.m.: Laugh Your Class Off
Educational, insightful, fun, energetic, comedic expression that motivates student to achieve their educational goals and promotes student success.
6-7:30 p.m.: Poetry Open Mic
