It's been 50 years since Irving "Bud" Foote, then a professor in what is now the School of Literature, Media, and Communication (LMC), taught the first science fiction course at Georgia Tech. To launch our celebration of that milestone, and in honor of Science Fiction Day, Jan. 2, we asked the science fiction experts of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts for book and movie recommendations from 1971.
