Public Policy Distinguished Alumna Honored by the Georgia State Senate

In the final days of this year’s Georgia legislative session, the Georgia State Senate passed a resolution “Recognizing and commending Melody DeBussey for receiving a Georgia Tech Distinguished Alumni Award and for other purposes.”

State Senator Jack Hill, who is chairman of the Appropriations Committee, presented the resolution to DeBussey. She was awarded the 2018 Distinguished Alumni Award by the Georgia Tech Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts and its School of Public Policy on March 28. DeBussey is a 2006 graduate of the School of Public Policy.

About Melody DeBussey

Melody DeBussey serves as the director of the Senate Budget and Evaluation Office (SBEO) for the Georgia State Senate. In this role, she provides fiscal and budgetary analysis and support to the State Senate and its committees, specifically the Senate’s Appropriations Committee.

The School of Public Policy Georgia Tech is part of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts.
