First-Year Ivan Allen College Students Discover Community at Kickoff Event

Students coming into their first year at the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts were introduced to the College community on Monday, August 27, at an annual meet and greet event, the Freshmen Kickoff.

Ivan Allen College faculty, school chairs, and Dean Jacqueline J. Royster were in attendance to become acquainted with incoming students. Attendance was particularly robust this year as approximately 50% of the College’s 190 incoming students participated.

Hosted by the Ivan Allen College Student Advisory Board, this annual kickoff event provides an excellent opportunity not only for students to become acquainted with their fellow classmates, but for faculty to understand the interests and backgrounds of their students.
