Georgia Tech Cybersecurity Students Attend CyberCorps Symposium and Job Fair

On January 7-8, Georgia Institute of Technology students attended the annual National Science Foundation (NSF) CyberCorps Symposium and Job Fair in Washington, D.C.

Seymour Goodman, regents professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, led the students to the annual cybersecurity symposium, which he has done for previous groups of Georgia Tech students since 2003.

The students who attended had the opportunity to meet with over 90 federal and state agencies, national labs, and federally funded research and development centers actively recruiting for large numbers of new or open paid internships and permanent positions in the area of cybersecurity.  

Students attending the job fair are part of Georgia Tech CyberCorps Scholarship for Service, a program which provides tuition and a stipend to students in exchange for commitment to serve the U.S. Government in cybersecurity after graduation. The scholarship also provides internship opportunities, professional development, and employment placement assistance.
