Kosal gives invited talk to US-Japan Dialogues on Game-Changing Technology

On the 12th of October, Nunn School Associate Professor Margaret E. Kosal gave an invited talk at the “21st Century Technologies, Geopolitics, and the US-Japan Alliance: Recognizing Game-changing Potential” series sponsored by Pacific Forum, US Embassy Tokyo, the Center for Rule-making Strategies (CRS) at Tama University, Keio University Global Research Institute, and the Oist Foundation. This virtual series brings together experts from the region to discuss game-changing technologies for national and international security in the context of the US-Japan alliance, examining several foundational technologies and game-changing applications.
Kosal spoke on “Game-changing Biotechnology: Security, Proliferation, & Governance Challenges.” Using technical scholarship, social science methods, and current affairs, she outlined how to these game-changers may affect geopolitics and international security to shape the future.
