Atlanta Multifaith Leaders Attend LAMP Symposium on Food, Farming, and Faith

On February 16, 2016 Center for International Strategy, Technology, and Policy (CISTP) hosted Ms. Carmen Kifer for a discussion of the challenges that the US and others face as we seek to rid the world of the threat of chemical weapons once and for all. The Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) seeks to achieve a world free of an entire class of weapons of mass destruction to foster cooperation in the peaceful uses of chemistry. The U.S. Army's Chemical Materials Activity (CMA) is the world leader in safely storing, treating, and disposing of chemical weapons.

Why Cyber Deterrence Doesn't Work

On February 25, 2016, the Center for International Strategy, Technology, and Policy hosted Dr. James Lewis for a discussion on cyber deterrence. This visit was generously funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York, which awarded the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs funding for a scenario-based project on the dynamics of command, control, and coordination in cyber-conflict escalation.

International Affairs Student's ‘FretWizard’ Is InVenture Prize Finalist

The annual InVenture Prize competition celebrates interdisciplinary entrepreneurship and innovation at Georgia Tech. Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts student Molly Ricks, a international affairs major in the Sam Nunn School, is co-designer of FretWizard, a novel learning tool for aspiring guitarists that qualified as a finalist for this year's prize.
