Twenty-five ROTC Members Commissioned in Virtual Ceremonies

Twenty-five 2020 Georgia Institute of Technology Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) graduates have been commissioned as officers in the United States Armed Forces in separate virtual ceremonies. The ROTC program is housed in the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts.

Omar Asensio Receives NSF CAREER Award

Omar Asensio, assistant professor in the School of Public Policy, has been named recipient of a 2020 National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award, a prestigious recognition honoring top junior faculty. The award, given out as part of the NSF's Faculty Early Career Development Program, recognizes faculty "who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization."

Health Insurance Shortfalls Could Contribute to Low COVID-19 Test Rates, Study Says

Lower rates of health insurance coverage were associated with substantially lower levels of testing for COVID-19 in the early days of the outbreak, before testing was made free, according to a new study co-authored by Allen Hyde.

Georgia Tech’s Nunn School Announces New One-Year Master of Science in International Affairs, Science, and Technology Program

The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology is launching a new one-year, 30-credit hour Master of Science in International Affairs, Science, and Technology (MSIAST) program.
