Overview
Sophie Landrieux Kartochian is a Lecturer of French at Georgia Tech. She holds a PhD in Business Administration from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. She also holds a dual degree in Economics and Business of Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay.
Before joining the School of Modern Languages of Georgia Tech, she has held various academic positions, including Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and French Lecturer for International Business at Georgia State University. She has also worked at Atlanta International School and in the field of continuing education.
Sophie Landrieux Kartochian’s expertise includes French for Business, Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior. She has completed research projects in different areas including gender equality, women in management, career development, and negotiation. She plans to focus on intercultural management and French for Specific Purposes.
She has written or co-written handbooks in Management, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior and Theories and has published several articles in academic journals.
She teaches many different French classes. An enthusiastic educator, she has received awards for her teaching, including the Student Recognition of Excellence in Teaching (Spring 2022 CIOS Honor Roll and Fall 2022 CIOS Honor Roll) and Thank a Teacher program award.
