Raised in the state of peaches and peanuts with intermittent adventures to the land of beer and bratwurst, Cassidy is a visual storyteller and communications professional eager to make a difference on an individual and global scale.

She experienced the German language and culture firsthand through the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange High School program, which allowed her to become so enthralled with both that she has not stopped being an ambassador for German-American relations. She paired her passion for German with her drive for journalism during her undergraduate studies at the University of West Georgia. She completed an internship with the DAAD in New York, participated in the Fulbright Berlin Capital Program for Young Journalists, and worked in the Bundestag as a fellow with the International Parliamentary Stipend. Cassidy was among the first graduates of the master’s in Global Media and Cultures from Georgia Tech.

Cassidy previously worked at the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta, most recently as the communications and program director responsible for the nonprofit's communications and cultural events across its seven-state region. She enjoyed embedding herself in the international community in Atlanta and the Southeast through her work at Goethe and is greatly looking forward to strengthening her relationships and forging new partnerships in her role as communications officer for the School of Literature, Media and Communication and School of Modern Languages.
