Lawrence Receives Georgia Tech Postdoctoral Research Symposium Award

Britain Fellow Halcyon Lawrence in Georgia Institute of Technology School of Literature, Media, and Communication (LMC) in the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, was recognized for her presentation “Potty Mouths: Examining Toxic Language in Online Gaming Environments” at the 4th Annual Georgia Tech Postdoctoral Research Symposium held on Sept. 21, 2017.

The Georgia Tech Postdoctoral Research Symposium awards are the only campus wide source of travel funds available to postdocs. Postdocs from across the Colleges of Computing, Engineering, Sciences, and the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts were selected to give a talk and presentation on their research and its significance. Halcyon was awarded best presentation and received a $1,500 travel award sponsored by the Dean of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts.
