Former U.S. Sen. Sam Nunn(link is external), a distinguished professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, co-authored an op-ed in Politico with former U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar about the long-term implications of the Iran nuclear deal.

They say:

Although there are no absolute guarantees, nor can there be in diplomatic accords, our bottom line is that this agreement makes it far less likely that the Iranians will acquire a nuclear weapon over the next 15 years.
