Wu Presents at North American Conference on Chinese Linguistics

Hongchen Wu, assistant professor of Chinese in the School of Modern Languages, presented her co-authored research “Processing of Mandarin Negative Polarity Item and Free Choice Item Renhe” at the 34th North American Conference on Chinese Linguistics, held from Sept. 23-25, 2022, at Indiana University—Bloomington. This research investigates the relationship between variants of polarity items from a cross-linguistic perspective through a self-paced reading experiment.
