Overview
Personal Pronouns:
she/herHongchen Wu joined the School of Modern Languages as an Assistant Professor in August 2021. She is interested in syntax, semantics, second language acquisition, computational linguistics, and syntax-prosody, syntax-semantics interface of languages.
Recent publications and conference presentations explore topics such as the prosody of wh-indeterminates in Mandarin, quantifier scope in Mandarin, processing of polarity items, Syntax-Semantic-Prosody interface of Mandarin wh-scope, and cross-language forced alignment. Moving forward, Dr. Wu seeks to further explore linguistic interfaces, language acquisition, and language technologies.
