Overview
Bo Kyoung Kim received a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Dr. Kim’s expertise includes Case-marking system including Adverbial Case in Korean. Dr. Kim joined the School of Modern Languages at Georgia Tech in 2014 and her teaching includes courses in Korean (Elementary Korean I, Intermediate Korean I, Intermediate Korean II, Selected Readings of Modern Korean and Contemporary Korean and linguistics (Intro to Linguistics). Her research interest includes Korean Linguistics (Morpho-Syntax, Syntax/Semantics Interface), Korean Language Education, Bilingualism/Second Language Acquisition and Sociolinguistics. Her recent research interest is in lexicalization patterns of neologisms in Korean and her recent publication includes “Language and Gender in Korean Neologisms: Their Implication on Korean Language Education” (International Journal of Korean Language Education ) and is currently working on her next publication.
